When you walk through the lavish halls of Encore Resort at Reunion, your heart beats with the excitement of the adventures ahead. 1. Mardi Gras Night at Finns Restaurant
The kids are still buzzing from the water park slide races, while the grandparents chuckle about their leisurely pool floats as the spirit of New Orleans flows through Shark Lounge and Finns Restaurant, the latter of which is always open to the public. Mardi Gras Week begins on Monday, March 3rd, and we dive into dinner with Chef Jose’s Po’boy Sandwich, a towering stack of crispy shrimp, zesty remoulade, shredded lettuce, and pickles where each bite is a small celebration of our day’s escapades. The Big Easy spirit returns on Tuesday, March 4th, with 25% off on savory Hurricanes to celebrate the passion of Mardi Gras.
2. St. Patrick’s Day Feasts
St. Patrick’s Day is a weekend of culinary delights from Saturday, March 15th, to Monday, March 17th, with Chef Jose’s mouthwatering specials. After a day of go-kart races and leprechaun trap setups, your family sits under green lights. The St. Patty’s Day Hummus, colored green with Spinach & Parsley, arrives at the table with a cultural aroma. The Corned Beef is served, steaming and tender, alongside flavorful Cabbage and Boiled Potatoes that even the kids can’t resist. Everyone grips their utensils, ready for the feast, the scent of Ireland’s heartland filling the room. Glasses clink with Guinness and Jameson, and cheers rise for basketball games; every score on the screen matched by the family’s cheers, creating new legends.
3. Certified Nurses Day
All of the nurses that keep us healthy receive their flowers at Encore on Wednesday, March 19th, for Certified Nurses Day. Finns is open to all, and nurses with valid ID badges enjoy a 20% discount (excluding alcohol) as a heartfelt “thank you” for the good work they do day in, day out.
4. National Cheesesteak Day
After a day exploring Orlando’s attractions, your gang returns to Finns for a sandwich that’s more than just a meal – it’s an event. Chef Jose’s cheesesteaks on March 24th’s National Cheesesteak Day are massive, with cheese flowing over the sides and beef that looks as delectable as they taste. It’s a Monday, but it feels like a celebration and this one will last all week! Adults and teens experiment with the wide selection of toppings, while the children’s eyes light up, already planning stories to tell about this sandwich at school. The room fills with satisfied murmurs and plans for tomorrow’s adventures.
5. Cocktails of the Month
Each meal throughout March is complete with exceptional cocktails in celebration of one special occasion after the next. We raise our King Cake Shots for a taste of Mardi Gras while decked out in shimmering beads caught from the day’s parade. The Herbal Hibiscus Lemonade, a gin-based floral lemonade, washes down any spicy and crispy dinner with ease. We laugh, we toast, and the MintClover Shake comes swirling in, a colorful twist to our St. Patty’s Day feast.
6. Daily Specials
Dining at Encore is a getaway for the wallets with daily specials that leave space in your pockets for more adventures during your stay. Monday nights end with $2 off Bacardi Mojitos at Shark Lounge, and the air fills with spicy aromas on Taco Tuesdays with $2 off shrimp tacos. Elegant meals await at Finns Restaurant and Shark Lounge on Wednesdays with each purchase of two Stir Fry entrees bringing half off any bottle of house wine. Glasses of flavorful Classic Margaritas turn Shark Lounge into an island-inspired oasis at $2 off.
7. Orlando’s Delicious March Celebrations
Delectable journeys continue from Encore to celebrations of tasty dishes around every corner of Orlando that bring new cravings to life. The Promenade at Sunset Walk, just a short hop away from Encore, lights up on March 4th for the third annual Fat Tuesday Street Party (opens in a new tab), complete with Big Easy flavors, New Orleans street performers, and beads of purple, gold, and green soaring through the air as Orlando’s very own Mardi Gras souvenirs. The taste of Ireland skips over to The Promenade (opens in a new tab) for the three-day weekend St. Patrick’s Day Street Party Celebration (opens in a new tab) from March 15th – 17th, evenings filled with emerald green dishes and beverages toasting to the luck of the Irish.
The elegance of spring echoes throughout EPCOT®’s International Flower & Garden Festival from March 5th to June 2nd as garden-fresh cuisine fuel for tours of life-sized greenery sculptures of iconic Disney characters and rock-outs at the Garden Rock Concert Series. Universal Orlando Resort’s Mardi Gras 2025 celebration through March 30th is a party for all senses, with plates of Cajun deliciousness igniting the passion of the Big Easy for a night of larger-than-life parades, live music, and fireworks decorating the sky in New Orleans shades.
